Your recordings, harder to pass around
Account sharing and leaked recordings are the two ways a coaching business quietly loses revenue. Every switch below ships today and is turned on from your dashboard — and we say plainly which of them are deterrents rather than guarantees.
Multi-device limit
Set a per-student device cap for the whole academy. A known device is always allowed; a new one past the cap is refused with a message telling the student to sign out elsewhere or ask their teacher. Teachers see each student's device list and can reset it. Set the cap to 1 and the account works on one device at a time — the parallel-login case.

Two-step email verification
Codes are stored only as a bcrypt hash, are single-use, expire, allow five attempts, and invalidate any previous code. An academy admin can enforce it for everyone, and any individual member can opt themselves in. If email delivery isn't configured the gate stays off rather than locking people out.

Per-viewer forensic watermark
Protected video and exam papers are overlaid with the viewer's name, email, ID and the time, taken from the signed server session rather than the browser's local roster — so a viewer can't edit their own mark. If a recording leaks, it is traceable to one account, and the student knows that while they watch.

Copy, print and download lockdown
Five independent switches on protected content: disable right-click, text selection, copy, print, and dragging media out to save it. Protected PDFs render to a canvas rather than the browser's PDF viewer, which otherwise hands the reader its own download and print buttons.

Signed, expiring media links
Protected media plays through per-workspace signed URLs that expire, so copying a link out of the network tab and pasting it into a WhatsApp group hands over something that has already stopped working.

- No browser lets a website block a screenshot or a screen recorder. Platforms that offer this do it inside an installed mobile app, where the operating system provides it. Prolaud is web-based, so instead of preventing the capture we make it attributable: every protected view carries the viewer's identity.

What is Prolaud?
Prolaud is a course platform with the classroom and the community built in. One workspace holds your own academy website and store, live classes in our own classroom, courses, and a community for every course with a wall, daily challenges, XP and leaderboards. Your students have one login, and you see one record for each of them.
I'm not technical. Can I set this up on my own?
Yes. Tell Prolaud what you teach and AI drafts your website and a first course outline, with modules and lessons, for you to edit. Everything after that is forms and buttons, with no code to write. And if you are moving from somewhere else, we help with the move for free.
How quickly can I be live?
Your academy and its free web address exist the moment you sign up, on the free plan, with no card. From there, publishing your site, a first course and a community is up to you — most of it is drafted for you, and the Communities guide walks through a first community step by step.
Prolaud is new. Why should I trust it with my academy?
Because you never have to take our word for it. Students pay you directly, into your own Stripe or Razorpay account, so we never hold your money. You can export everything — students, courses, orders, content — in one click on every plan, including the free one. Paid plans come with a 30-day refund, and we never sell or cross-promote your students. These promises are written down in our Founder Bill of Rights.
Are communities, challenges and XP on the free plan?
Yes. The wall, challenges, XP, leaderboards, messages, moderators, insights and selling access are on every plan, including the free Starter plan. What changes with the plan is how many communities you can have (one on Starter, five on Pro, unlimited from Studio) and whether Sparks can be uploaded video files rather than links.
Can I move my members from TagMango, a WhatsApp group or another platform?
Yes. Export your member list as a spreadsheet, import it into a community, and each member gets an invite by email; people are matched by email, so importing twice is safe. Paid subscriptions do not move by themselves — a saved card or payment mandate belongs to the payment account that created it — so paying members subscribe again here. We help with the move for free.
Do my students need to download an app?
No. Your academy works in any phone browser — classes, courses, challenge check-ins and the community — and students can add it to their home screen. If an app in the Play Store and App Store under your own name matters to you, that is something we do not offer.
Do you take a commission on what I sell?
No. Payments settle directly to you through your own payment account — Stripe or Razorpay, whichever you connect. Our cut is zero: you pay a flat monthly plan, never a percentage of each sale.
What can I sell on Prolaud?
Self-paced courses, live cohorts, memberships, paid communities, 1:1 sessions, webinars, digital downloads, license keys, and bundles that combine any of them at one price. Each can be one-time, a subscription, or pay-what-you-want, with coupons, and courses can be split into installments that collect themselves.
Can I use my own domain?
Soon. Today every academy gets its own address on prolaud.com — yourname.prolaud.com — with your logo and colours, and paid plans remove the Prolaud badge. Connecting your own domain (with a CNAME record) is coming soon. The whole public site — home, store, blog, courses and contact — runs on your address.
Where can I use it, and how do I get paid?
Anywhere. You connect your own payment account — Stripe, which charges in US dollars, or Razorpay, which charges in rupees — and every sale goes straight into it. Prolaud never holds the money and takes no percentage. It is built by a small team in Dehradun for teachers everywhere; what is specific to teaching in India is collected at prolaud.com/india.

One workspace bundles a public portal on the creator’s own URL, a storefront with eight product types, live classes with cohort recordings, a community feed, a knowledge layer (Docs), and a certificate system. Payments settle directly into the creator’s own Stripe or Razorpay account; zero platform commission; full one-click workspace export on every plan including the free tier.
What creators sell
Eight product kinds: self-paced courses, live cohorts (time-boxed batches with a feed + leaderboard + recordings), memberships (recurring access to bundled products with trial support), 1:1 sessions (coaching call delivery via booking link), webinars (scheduled events with meeting link + recording), digital downloads (PDFs, audio, video, ZIPs, design files), license keys (auto-issued from a pool), and bundles (compose any of the above at one price). Pricing models include one-time, subscription (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, annual + trial), and pay-what-you-want with minimum and suggested amounts. Live and cohorts
Live classes run on LiveKit with multi-host roomAdmin grants and cloud recording (composite egress to Cloudflare R2). Recordings ship with heuristic auto-chapters parsed from the WebVTT transcript, on-demand Groq / OpenAI transcription, and resume-from-last-position playback. Cohorts have a Common Room feed with posts, comments, reactions, @-mentions, file uploads, and a points-based leaderboard (attendance + quiz + assignment scoring).
Communities
Every course can have its own community inside the academy, on every plan including the free Starter plan. A community has a wall (photo, video link, poll and question posts, reactions, replies, mark as answer, pin, save, repost), challenges and habits (5, 7, 21 or 30 days or no end, daily check-ins with streaks, reminders, teacher approval and an automatic certificate for finishers), XP and seven levels with an academy leaderboard and a board per community, messages, moderators, insights, and five ways to let people in: free for all students, free with a course, paid (once, monthly or yearly, or inside a membership), a free sign-up page, or invite only. Knowledge layer (Docs)
Docs is a multiplayer editor built on BlockNote with Liveblocks for multi-cursor editing. Five typed embeds (lesson, recording, whiteboard, quiz, doc) render as live cards that update when the source artifact does. The six-tier audience model lets creators publish a doc to private, admins, workspace, a specific cohort, a specific course, or the public web at /k/<slug>. Backlinks are automatic via a universal reference-edge table. AI study guides can be generated from any class transcript + whiteboards + pinned chat questions.
Marketing automation and CRM
A built-in CRM and marketing-automation engine. Contacts are created automatically when an order is paid (tagged customer) and from public opt-in forms (tagged lead); tags act as segments. Automations fire on a trigger — an order being fulfilled, or a contact gaining a tag — and run an action: send an email, send a WhatsApp message, or add a tag, with {{name}} personalization. Actions can be delayed (wait a set number of days, then send). Abandoned checkouts are detected automatically (pending orders 1–72 hours old) and tagged abandoned-checkout to fire win-back automations; at-risk students can be tagged from the engagement hub to trigger re-engagement. Getting paid
Each academy connects its own payment account: Stripe, which charges in US dollars, or Razorpay, which charges in rupees. One is enough to sell, and both can be connected. Student payments go straight into that account; Prolaud never holds the money and takes no percentage of a sale. Courses can be sold in 2 to 12 installments that collect themselves.
